after the storm

Ha! So much for posting a lot during the break. It appears I also took a break from my computer... I was so LAZY!!! Watched a lot of movies, knitted a fair amount (not as much as I wanted), but no lonely posts. At least I was keeping busy working on my sloth skills and couch-potato butt. It's coming along nicely, thank you...

The 6 days I spent alone weren't too bad... I was productive and organized and ran errands and shopped and knitted. I also decorated for x-mas... which was a mistake, because my living room looks like a 2nd grade classroom. I have reached the limits of my artsy craftsy abilities, and as soon as I have money I will forfeit it to someone with better taste and/or skills than I have. I ran out of hot glue sticks for my glue gun (a girls best friend), and at the store all they had left was silver/glitter glue sticks. So now I have 20 of them. On the bright side, I got the opportunity to GLUE a gaudy and ugly christmas tree topper to my ceiling. (yes, i made it, i'm ashamed to admit).

And, just to see if it would stick, I left the topper up when I took down the tree. So it's just hanging out...

Here are some things that I made recently. (i do take requests, by the way, especially if you send me the yarn!)

Then Melissa came to visit me, with her beautiful and energetic Weimerhiner (sp?). He's only 7 months old! They were so obnoxious and rambunctious that I had to cage them both up. But Melissa didn't seem to mind...

Shortly after that, my mom and sister came in on Christmas Eve. So much awesomeness!!! We had fun, like we always do. I did my doctor thing and examined my mom's binocular vision system, but it turns out that I'm the whacko.

that scarf Kira is wearing is one I made for paul... you can't appreciate it's diagonalness in that picture, though. But it is.

Then Paul came home, mom and sis left, and paul and i went to utah with some friends. It was quite the trip, tons of fun.. I got to try backcountry skiing!! And i love it. Which is really a shame, because it's expensive (but not as much as downhill skiing). I wasn't in the mood for pictures there, so I don't have any. I'll post some when I get my hands on some...

Oh, and I cut my hair and donated it to Locks for Love. Chop chop!!!
